Short version: IkaLabs apps collect no data. No tracking, no analytics, no ads, no accounts with us. Your data stays on your device and your own server.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the person named in the legal notice (Impressum).

2. The "Pantry for Mealie" app

2.1 No data collection by us

Pantry contains no analytics, tracking or advertising services. The app never sends any data to IkaLabs or to third parties. There are no IkaLabs user accounts.

2.2 Connection to your Mealie server

Pantry is a client for the Mealie recipe manager. All content (recipes, shopping lists, meal plans, photos, ratings) is transferred exclusively between your device and the Mealie server you configure yourself — typically your own server or one a friend invited you to. The operator of that server is responsible for the processing there; IkaLabs has no access to it.

2.3 Local storage on your device

The server address and display name are stored in the app's local settings.
Your API token is kept exclusively in the protected iOS Keychain on your device.
Recipes and shopping lists are cached locally for offline use.
Deleting the app removes this data.

2.4 Photo access

When you pick a photo for a recipe, the app uses the iOS photo picker. Only the selected image is processed, and it is uploaded solely to your own Mealie server.

2.5 Share extension

Recipe links handed over via the share sheet are cached locally until the app submits them to your Mealie server. Nothing is sent to third parties.

2.6 Apple

Independently of this app, Apple may — depending on your iOS settings ("Share with App Developers") — collect anonymized crash and diagnostics data and make it available to us via App Store Connect. See Apple's privacy policy.

3. This website

This is a static website with no cookies, tracking or analytics. It is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). When you visit, GitHub processes technically necessary data (in particular your IP address) in server logs to provide and secure the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Details: GitHub Privacy Statement.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Since IkaLabs itself does not process personal data of app users, requests concerning server data should be directed to the operator of the respective Mealie server.
